Choosing a Florida Condominium

Monday, June 30th, 2008

When you’re looking for the chance to live in a great area – whether you are still looking to build your life in a city like Jacksonville where you’ll be able to find the hustle and bustle of the club scene and the night life or if you’re at a point where you’re looking to settle back and have some time to relax in an area like Ponce Inlet – one of the options that’s available to you is to look into buying a Florida condo. When you buy a Florida condo, of course, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the coastline, to spend time hanging out with friends, to go boating, to explore the arts and to use your time as you see fit.

When you choose a Florida condominium, however, there are some key things to look for:

  • location
  • availability
  • construction
  • community
  • proximity to the beach
  • your interests

By taking each of those elements into consideration, you’ll find that you are that much closer to choosing a Florida condo that’s going to put you in the center of everything that you’ve been looking for – whether golf, boating, art or relaxing on the beach is the key component to your idea of fun.

When you make the choice to call a Florida waterfront community home, you’ll find that there are a number of distinct advantages. Of course, one of the best advantages that many people find is the ability to take advantage of the inspiration brought on by the Florida beach – even when they are in the kitchen.

For example, let’s say that you aren’t sure what you want to do for dinner. When you live in a Florida waterfront community, you’ll find that you’re able to plan a light meal and to have a picnic on the sand or dinner on the porch while you watch the tides roll in.

Alternately, if you are unsure of what to make for dinner, when you live on the Florida beach, you just might find that your love of fishing lends itself to making a fresh catch. You might choose to start cooking with sea salts.

Simply put, when you have a beachfront home in Florida, you’ll find that you’re able to come up with some great meal ideas – and that you’ll have great ways to enjoy them as well.

Sponsored by the EVP Tour and Corona Light, the two-person tournament will feature men’s and women’s Open/Gold, AA, A, and B divisions. The Open/Gold division will be double-elimination if registration reaches at least 16 teams, while the lower divisions will be pool play followed by single-elimination playoffs. Cash prizes will be given to the Open/Gold division winners, while all division winners will receive merchandise. For more information, visit www.jacksonvillevolleyball.com.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for other Florida First Coast activities this weekend and you live in St. Augustine, you’ll find that you don’t have to travel far either:

At its sister event in Cocoa Beach, held annually over Labor Day weekend, the tournament has raised $5 million for the NKF’s programs in Florida. A full weekend of surfing, benefits, contest, live music and more is planned. For more information, a schedule of events, and downloadable registration forms, visit www.nkfsurf.com.

Why Look Into a Florida Condominium?

Friday, June 27th, 2008

When you are thinking about buying a home of your own – especially when you are looking into purchasing your first home – you’ll find that you’re able to explore a number of options. If you know that you want to buy a home in Florida, when you want to be sure that you will still be able to have a home that is relatively maintenance free, you’re likely to find that a Florida condominium home is your best option.

Why should you think about looking into a Florida condo? On one hand, the benefit is that you will be able to take advantage of a home with low maintenance. On other levels, however, the benefits begin to stand out even more.

When you buy a Florida condominium, you will find, for example, that if you need to relocate at a later point in time, your condo will become a great investment property – especially if you buy a home on the water – that you can rent out either to travelers or on a more permanent basis, knowing that, someday if you want to go back to the condo you will be able to. Likewise, if you hang onto your Florida condominium after you’ve moved, you are likely to discover that it will make a great vacation home.

In other words, one of the things that you’ll find when you look into buying a Florida condo is that you will be able to create options for yourself – options that you’ll be glad you have later.

When you choose to call a waterfront community in Florida home, one of the things that you’re going to discover quickly is that the right home lets you stay connected with the people who you love. Whether you’re looking for a chance to spend time on the porch overlooking the sea for an evening dinner and conversation or you get out on the beach and play with the kids, you’ll find that Florida waterfront communities are a great place to unwind and stay connected.

Of course, you won’t just be able to connect with those who share your Florida waterfront community home; you’ll also find that when your Florida home is in a waterfront community, friends and family members from far off places will have the impulse to visit. As a result, you’ll find that it’s easy to reconnect and to simply spend time enjoying one another’s company (and, of course, you’ll also find that it’s easy to keep your out of town guests entertained and to give them great places to explore).

Simply put, when you live in a Florida waterfront community, one of the things that you’re going to discover is that you’re able to be yourself: you’re able to strengthen relationships, make connections with one another and to relax and unwind at a home that has everything you’re looking for.
