Exploring the Florida Arts with the Kids

When it comes to the arts, Florida has a lot to offer. With independent artists, crafters and a wide variety of museums and galleries, it’s easy to explore the Florida arts, especially when you live in Jacksonville. A trip to the Museum of Contemporary Art, for example is a great way to get the kids involved in exploring the arts:

A helpful museum educator assists groups with hands-on activities including painting, playing musical instruments, tree drawing, mask making, ramen noodle sculptures, printmaking, and more. The rotating activities reflect the museum’s current exhibits and themes, where families can explore the galleries together and learn. Sundays 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

While it’s just one day of the week that you can come together as a family and to play together at Jacksonville’s Museum of Contemporary Art, the reality is that you’ll be able to find plenty to do on that afternoon. And, if you find that the kids’ interest in exploring the arts continues to grow, you’ll also discover that the first Friday Art Walks are a great way to get outside and to explore the arts, that there are other museums and even classes that can ensure that your family is able to get a great deal out of the arts – and the thoughts and creativity that come from letting the imagination run wild.
